Long Beach Triathlon Update

Alrighty, here is an update to the Long Beach Triathlon this Sunday.

Participants only: Pick up your packet on Saturday at the Queen Mary. You should have already received an update from the LB Tri with details so I won't go into them here. Let me know if you have questions.

Participants and Support Group (Spectators):
- It's not supposed to rain but if it does we understand if the spectators don't make it out.
- Participants, I will be arriving at 6am because I know the location and race. If this is your first time I would go even earlier to get situated, calmed, and it’s just prudent to do so.
- Spectators, I suggest you arrive between 6:00am and 6:30am. It will take at least 30 minutes to find parking, find us, and walk over to the start of the race. The first wave starts at 7:00am.

Directions:
*** I've posted links modified directions below from various different regions to the race. The reason you should use my directions below are because 1. I'll put you to the closest parking lot ($8) 2. Some roads will be closed so if you map it yourself you may run into road blocks.

(Note to those coming from the North. Broadway should be open. In the event that it is not you should be able to exit 6th Street which is one exit early and follow the rest of the directions the same way. Print out a local map just in case, it’s just prudent to do so.)

Once in the parking lot just walk across E. Shoreline Dr. the road is closed here for the race so pedestrians can cross in the morning. Once the race starts they will close the road to pedestrians for the bikes and you will have to cross at E. Ocean or S. Linden. Here's an update for those of you curious about the progress of our triathlon store business. Below are some pictures of the new warehouse. As you can see we are still setting up but a lot of stuff is already in. Each week we're updating the space and getting new inventory. There's also an upstairs and office that I didn't get pictures of.

Iraq for Sale

When I started watching this movie I was a little skeptical. But it got better as I kept watching. A lot of it is already known but I write about it now because I don't think it should be forgotten. After watching it all the way through it reminded me of the fact that the Republican leadership of the past few years was either incompetent or corrupt. I, like most people are relieved that a new Democratic government has been voted in place. Let's hope that it makes a difference. Watch your representatives. Don't let this happen again. Super Bowl Commercials
